How Ebou Lawrence Mendy Started Software Company Kameko & Ride Hailing App Ryde Africa in The Gambia

Meet Ebou Lawrence Mendy founder of the software company Kameko Gambia , a company that builds customs solutions for small and medium enterprises.

However, besides doing client work, Ebou and his team are also spinning of their own solutions as for example the ride hailing app Ryde Africa and a lightweight accounting solution for Gambian businesses.

In the interview Ebou speaks about:

  • How his mothers was able to put him through university thanks to her business activities despite having no formal education and how she inspired him to become an entrepreneur
  • How a robbery propelled him to launch Ryde Africa
  • And How setting himself a deadline by when to start his business made him take the leap, even though he had a comfy and well paying job

He also speaks about the role a mentor has played in his life and what his advice for young Gambians is.

There is a lot of gold in this interview and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
And now, without further ado, enter Ebou.
