How Fa Diallo Trains Women as Early Childhood Professionals with Institut Académique des Bébés

Meet Fa Diallo, the founder of Institut Académique des Bébés a social enterprise that trains mostly unemployed young women as early childhood professionals and helps them find jobs as caretakers for baby’s.

Initially when coming back to Senegal from France, Fa had planned to start a business in Finance. However, when she had challenges finding someone with training and qualification to take care of her two newborn, she decided that she wanted to change that.

And this is how she started Institut Académique des Bébés.

In the interview Fa shares:

  • How she finds the unemployed young women to train them to be early childhood professionals
  • How she finds them paid jobs after they have completed their training with her
  • How she manages to take them into her Academy, even when the young women don’t have funds to pay for the program themselves

And what the reaction of her friends and family was when she made the leap, plus why I didn’t keep her from following her heart.

We really enjoyed the conversation with Fa Diallo and learning about the amazing change she makes in Senegal and hope you’ll enjoy it too.
