Our mission is to inspire, learn, share, encourage, connect and ignite action for positive change in an engaging and entertaining way.

Our aim is to reach and impact young people both on the continent and internationally and inspire and encourage them to become changemakers, in a captivating and entertaining way, a way that sparks imagination and creativity.

INTERVIEWS AND CASE STUDIES

Interviews with 100 inspiring changemakers, entrepreneurs and social innovators that share the workings of their businesses and projects and how they became changemakers. We publish these stories online to share inspiring narratives and role models with young people.

WORKSHOPS, KEYNOTES & YOUTH-LED CHANGEMAKING PROGRAMS

Conducting workshops, keynotes and above all youth-led changemaking activities to inspire and engage youth, to discover the Changemaker within. A new vision is required in education which focuses on unlocking the inherent changemaking potential in every person.

WORKBOOK

Combining what we learn from 100 Changemakers on the continent into an actionable workbook for young African leaders that can inspire and engage Youth to become changemakers and entrepreneurs, leaders and problem solvers, not just in theory but outside the classroom.

DOCUMENTARY & WEBSERIES

We documented the e-motorbike expedition, our encounters and the stories we heard from the people we met, to share them in video format through a webseries, the interviews and podcasts as well as a full-length documentary.

SHARING YOUTH-LED CHANGEMAKING

Education systems in most places are outdated, not preparing young people for the challenges they are facing in real life. Youth-led Changemaking is an answer to this problem. The difference between what students are doing in classrooms and what they are capable of doing outside the classrooms would solve many of our pressing problems.

ONLINE ACADEMY FOR CHANGEMAKERS

The interviews with 100 changemakers as well as the case studies and Workbook will find their way into the AfricaX online Academy for young changemakers and leaders.

How we contribute

AFRICAX Changemaking Action Campaign -

In 2019 we went on a journey with an electric motorbike from Morocco to South Africa, to interview 100 Changemakers in 20 African Countries to share inspiring stories from the African continent.

An expedition with an electric motorbike through 20 African Countries from Morocco to Cape Town. On the way we interviewed 100 changemakers and social innovators that transform their communities with their projects and ideas, social businesses and initiatives.

We also connected with local startup ecosystems to exchange ideas and learn from the continents Changemakers and share their stories. This journey and the interviews were in line with our mission to promote changemaking amongst young people and encourage them to be the change that they want to see in the world.

01. Exposure

We collected stories of inspiring Changemakers on the continent, how they started their projects and businesses and how they create positive social impact for their communities. We are currently sharing them through our Blog, Youtube and our Podcast.

02. Engage

Engage and inspire Youth to experience themselves as changemakers and to open their minds for possibilities and opportunities by sharing success stories and turning around limiting beliefs about what is possible for them. Most of this is done through our organization YES Founders Foundation where we fund youth-led changemaking activities on the African continent where young people start ventures within a few weeks, create social and economic impact and develop a new empowering belief system. 03. Exploration

Exploring a continent that is undergoing rapid change on an electric motorbike, meeting some of its most inspiring people and sharing their stories online and offline.

04. Exponential Solutions

Documenting solutions to local and global challenges that have the potential for exponential growth and impact from some of the most vibrant startup ecosystems on the continent.

Thomas is an entrepreneur, speaker, coach and author. In the past years he has mentored startups and Youth projects in Europe and Africa. His mission is to help young people discover the changemaker within.

From Kenya, Dulcie worked as the social media, content and operations coordinator during the AfricaX trip. She is passionate about personal development, mental health, story telling and connecting with people. As a young African and changemaker she brings an inspiring perspective to the expedition as well as a burning desire to help young people on the continent discover their potential.
